The word pati (husband) is formed of ‘paati’ which means ‘a protector’. We must we well familiar with the story of Draupadi famous in Mahabharat. Were the five Pandavas who were called pati able to protect Draupadi? Had they been able to protect her, there was no need for God to come? Our country Bharat, where people used to fight great wars for the honour of women, today, in that very country, the honour of mothers and maidens is facing threat more and more every moment; but the society and government aren’t able to stop it. This is why, God, the Supreme Father Supreme Soul Shiva Himself has come as Husband, the Lord in order to protect the living, the human cows of Bharat. For this, He is also called as Gaupaal Kanhaiyya in the path of bhakti. It isn’t about the physical, the animal cows. It is about the maidens and mothers of Bharat itself with simple and easy nature who stay tied for the entire life to the very peg to which their family members tie them. There is no question of divorcing at all. We don’t have just one relation with God; we have all the relations with Him. It is also said, isn’t it? You alone are my Mother and Father. You alone are everything for me. It is not about any physical [or] bodily relation. In fact, it is about long-lasting spiritual relation.
